Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar will host IIFA 2024 in Abu Dhabi, a celebration of Bollywood and South Indian cinema.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is set to return next month with a star-studded lineup featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and acclaimed filmmaker Karan Johar as hosts.

The much-anticipated awards ceremony will be held on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, from September 27 to 29, 2024.

This marks the third time the event has been hosted in this glamorous location.

For the first time in its illustrious history, IIFA Awards 2024 will bring together the best of Hindi and South Indian cinema—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—under one roof.

This unique celebration aims to honor the richness and diversity of Indian cinema, showcasing the Bollywood flair at the IIFA Awards while highlighting the vibrant South Indian film industry at IIFA Utsavam.

The three-day extravaganza promises to be a grand spectacle, culminating in the exclusive, invitation-only event IIFA Rocks. As anticipation builds, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his excitement about returning as a host for the prestigious event.

Johar, who has previously hosted the awards, is eager to retake the stage alongside his close friend.

“It is an absolute honor to reignite the magic on the iconic IIFA stage for an unprecedented third showcase alongside my dear friend Shah Rukh Khan,” said Johar.

Actor Shahid Kapoor will be the star performer at the event.

Kapoor, who has delivered electrifying performances at past IIFA ceremonies, is thrilled to be part of the celebration again.

Andre Timmins, founder and director of the IIFA Awards, highlighted the significance of this year’s event as a prelude to IIFA’s silver jubilee in 2025.
