Paris, France – “Many people often find it hard to believe that my designs are tangible objects,” remarks Rohan Mirza, known professionally as Marierohanaa
The Paris-based 3D artist and designer has been defying conventional design boundaries since he began his career in 3D artistry back in 2021.
Mirza’s avant-garde accessory and clothing designs draw inspiration from contrasting aesthetics, skillfully blending the ethereal beauty of angelic themes with the bold, futuristic vibes of cyberpunk culture.
His creations, he explains, are more than just apparel or accessories; they are a prophecy of what the human form might become in a utopian future, reflecting a fascinating evolution of the human body.
“When I first started in 2021, my designs had an organic feel,” Mirza reminisces.
“However, as I have evolved, so has my style. Now, I am drawn to sharper, more mechanical shapes that suggest a fusion of the organic and the robotic.”
One constant throughout his evolving style has been his signature use of ‘claws,’ along with a penchant for creating oversized accessories.
Mirza finds himself particularly drawn to designing pieces that accentuate or modify body parts such as fingers, ears, or the face.
He explains, “It is on these parts that you can observe direct mutations, almost as though the body is evolving before your eyes.”
Despite the radical, otherworldly aesthetics, Mirza’s designs remain wearable and grounded in reality, serving as a testament to his unique vision that blends utopian sci-fi themes without crossing into the realm of cosplay.
Instead, they are a perfect blend of his radical imagination and the practical realities of the physical world, marrying the digital and the real in an extraordinary fashion display.
The designer’s overarching concept is to bridge the gap between the digital and the physical, to breathe life into designs that one would typically only dream of in the digital realm.
According to him, you can create something innovative and fresh without a traditional background in design or fashion.
“Regardless of where you come from,” he asserts, “the tools at our disposal today are potent enough to make your vision come to life.”
Through his experimental designs and audacious creativity, Rohan Mirza, @marierohanaa, underscores the boundless potential of technology and imagination in reshaping our perception of the future of fashion and design.
His work continues to challenge the conventional, blurring the boundaries between the real and the digital and inviting us all to reimagine what fashion could look like in a utopian future.
